Improve balance

Refuse to be just another statistic

Who is a fall prevention assessment for?

For anyone concerned about their own or a loved one’s balance and falls risk or those who simply want to feel confident instead of fearful when they step out into the icy streets of Edmonton.

Why should you be concerned about falls?

Falls are the leading cause of injury-related hospitalizations and deaths in older adults. The reality is though, falls can happen to anyone, anytime, especially in winter climates. Falls have the potential to be devastating to someone's mobility, independence and quality of life, but they don't have to be. Knowing how to build better balance can help prevent falls. Taking it one step further and learning how to prepare for falls if they do happen, can reduce your risk of injury and elevate your confidence.

What will you get from a fall risk assessment?

You'll understand your overall fall risk. You'll learn how the body maintains balance, why it is important for reducing falls, and what you can do to improve it today. You will also learn how REP's falls preparedness approach could be your new secret weapon for improved confidence and injury prevention.

Where can I get a fall risk assessment?

Fall risk assessments can be done at all of our REP physio locations.  Our senior's fall prevention expert, Laura, works out of our Riverbend location.
